Alaska records 20ºC rise in temperature in March

The month of March was not very good for the American state of Alaska. The spring of the northern hemisphere presented the territory with a huge increase in average temperature.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration has released data showing a record increase in temperature in the March period. They were registered 20ºC above the historical limits of the place.

According to the same disclosure, the heat is a general trend in the Arctic, which is warming twice as fast as other parts of the world.

The phenomenon is due to the almost complete absence of ice in the Bering Sea, between Alaska and Russia, which suffers from the melting of glaciers and ice-covered seas.
