According to the nation’s official report, Canada warms up twice as fast as the rest of the globe. In addition, the report confirms that, according to the projection, the changes should become even stronger.
The document notes that the country’s average temperature has risen by 1.7 degrees Celsius since 1948, with the highest increase in the north of its territory.
The phenomenon happens due to the loss of snow and ice in the sea, what causes greater heating in other regions. According to the report, the problem could be neutralized by reducing carbon emissions.
