National Grid, an electricity and natural gas delivery company, has just acquired Geronimo Energy, a pioneer in renewable energy in a $ 100 million deal.
The buyer has become a landmark in the sustainable energy market, accelerating the growth of renewables and reducing carbon emissions in both the US and the UK.
Geronimo, since 2004, has already developed about 2,200 megawatts of solar and wind energy in operational projects or currently under construction.
The integration and purchase process is expected to close for the second fiscal quarter of 2019.
