The proliferation of single-use plastics worldwide collaborates too much for climate change, according to a report by the Center for International Environmental Law.
Plastic contributes to greenhouse gas emissions in any part of its life cycle, from the production, refining to its daily use.
The report says that plastic compositions will account for 13% of total carbon emissions by 2050, equivalent to 615 coal plants.
Pollution of the oceans with plastic has become a major struggle these days, but the ubiquitous use of them is not so taken into account.
