In 2017, the United Kingdom stayed 24 hours without burning coal. The record was just over 90 hours without burning, recorded on Easter 2019.
Last night, May 6, 2019, the record was broken. The new brand was established in 125 hours without coal burning in the UK.
Since the Industrial Revolution the country did not stay that long without the burning of coal. This was only possible thanks to the wind strong enough to start the turbines.
